The Parkersburg Area Coalition For The Homeless

Our Services

Our first project toward helping the homeless in our community is the opening of "House To Home" our drop-in day center/shelter.

"House To Home" is located at:

 413 8th Street

 Parkersburg, WV 26101

Phone Number: 304-893-5353

The drop-in center offers our homeless clients the use of:

  • Our mailing address so they may receive important correspondence
  • Telephone
  • Computers for job and housing searches
  • Laundry facilities
  • Shower facilities

We offer snacks, drinks and a calm atmosphere along with assistance with employment and housing. We assist with obtaining funds for medical needs; doctor, optometrist (prescription glasses), dentist and medication prescriptions. We also provide bus tickets on an as needed basis.

We distribute clothing to our homeless clients through our newly opened "Grace's Clothing Closet". We help to provide warm clothing in winter and cool clothing in summer. This is an asset for a client who is successful in obtaining employment. Clothing donations are made from churches, organizations and the general public.

House To Home, our drop-in center provides services for the homeless population in seven (7) surrounding counties that includes but not limited to:

  • Doddridge County
  • Jackson County
  • Pleasants County
  • Ritchie County
  • Washington County
  • Wirt County
  • Wood County

Our second project was the opening of 2 soup kitchens which provide hot meals for those in need.
